2018 Increases to DOL Fines for Violations of ERISA & other Federal Laws

The DOL recently issued a final rule that increases civil monetary penalties for violations of ERISA and other federal laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). As an example, the penalty is $2,140 per day for failure to file Form 5500. See the rest of the penalties here.
